Valley Palooza 2010
Is planned for September 18, 2010 and it looks like it will be bigger and better than last year. We have decided to help a local family as well as provide some scholarships for VP students and small home repairs for a few elderly and handicapped residents. Have you transitioned yet? From those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer to the knuckle down buckle down days of Autumn? The astronomers and meteorologists may tell you its not Fall yet — but you know in your heart that it is. Pre-K to Post-Graduate, school is in session. In the work-a-day world new projects are on the horizon. Clubs and organizations are coming active again with new programs. Everything is being re-energized.
The same is true here at Valley Park UMC. There are new Bible Studies starting in September. In November a Veterans Day Celebration, and Mission Trips are being planned for next Spring and Summer. On the lighter side there will be a "Garage Sale" coming up and Dinners and Lunches. And other activities...
Don’t look on this as though we are piling on. Think of it as a change of pace, an opportunity to relax and do something different every once in a while. So take a deep breath, shake out your hands, stretch, whatever it takes... Consider yourself invited.
Spend a little time with our devotional. Wander around this site and learn a little more about us. Follow the links to other Methodist sites. Check out our worship times and see what the sermon theme will be. You can even read up on the scriptures that will be used on Sunday. If you live near by we invite you drop by and visit any Sunday or for any activity you may find interesting. But even if you do not live near by you can find a church near you.
May the Holy Spirit keep the Word of God ever before you.
